These directions are for the traveller coming into Devon on the M5 motorway, if you are coming from a different direction you can click here to be put through to the AA's on-line route planner Leave the M5 motorway at Junction 27, if coming from the North you will need to take the 3rd exit sign posted Barnstaple, Tiverton, if you are coming up from the South take the first exit. (A Petrol Station, Little Chef, Burger King and Travel Lodge are located just off one of the exits, look for the neon signs) You are now on the A361, follow the A361 for approximately. 40 miles over 10 roundabouts. Once you enter Barnstaple town centre you will need to follow the signs for 'Ilfracombe', but stay on the A361. When you reach the bottom of the high street you will need to take the 2nd exit off the very small roundabout which will take you over a small bridge and onto a narrow road through some multi-coloured houses. The road will then open up onto a dual-carriageway, as it does you need to turn right at the set of lights onto Chaddiford Lane (This is a filter lane with its own set of lights). Over the speed bumps, past the school and turn left at the end of the road. You have arrived, the Windsor Arms is on your right. Enjoy!
